Socket 478 cooler

it's been a very long time since I've used one of those boards, I think you should be able to flex the plastic bracket enough to remove the clip, but if it's stuck maybe you have a board that has screws on the back holding the bracket itself, maybe you can try removing the whole thing, I remember I had to do that on a P4 back in the day in order to install an aftermarket cooler. I hope that helps somehow

is that a standard atx board or does it come on a prebuilt computer?

Thanks for the reply but already knew about the brackets I just seem to not being able to unlock them they say push but no matter how hard I push them they just don't unlock 

also it's looks like a pre built board

It's was in did one of the brackets that was stuck I manage to break it free by bending the side
