i'm trying to install windows 8.1 Professional (32-bit) on a Windows 10 (32-bit) computer, an Asus EeeBook X205TA. The computer cannot boot from a USB, so I start the install from windows 10. However after surpassing 27% of "getting files ready for installation", it gives me the error that "windows cannot install required files. make sure that all files required for installation are available and restart the installation".

I tried to have the windows 8.1 installation media on an external USB and in the internal storage but both failed.

I used the same windows 8.1 installation media and it successfully installed it in a virtual machine.

I tried downloading a new windows 8.1 iso from microsoft, but error still occurs
