I was bored today and I was wondering why even high end gpus don't have cooling on the back of the PCB (there that backplate is on some cards). so I was wondering if it is possible to buy a custom heat sink and a gpu pcb sized thermal pad to make a jank, unnecessary, and low profile gpu back PCB cooler and if it would even make a difference in temperature.  I know that area doesn't need to be cooled much but this is more of a "is it possible post that" than a "should i do it" post.

extra: I found lots of websites for custom heat sinks like this one, http://thermocoolcorp.com/heat-sinks/ some are more consumer facing that thermocool however.
