Game capture Card

So I need to know how a mic would work with this? I'll be using it with my Xbox One. Will my mic work like normal? I've never messed with a capture card before....

I use to use the elgato capture card. I had to record voice using a mic plugged into my PC and later sync up the audio with the video file. its a pain lol
