Intel i5-3570K temps

I just set up my rig with an Intel i5-3570k being cooled by a Corsair  h100i 240mm liquid cooler but its running at 104^o why could this be?

Is the pump running? Is the cooler mounted properly?

Yes to both.

Are the standoffs completely screwed into the backplate?  If one is even a little loose the cooler won't have good contact with the CPU.

I just rechecked them and now it's at 65^o C.
