eGPU recomendations

Hey guys,

 

So i have a 2017 MacBook Pro, I do a lot of video editing for work so i was thinking of buying an egpu enclosure and whacking vega 64 card in there (since macOS only officially supports AMD cards and final cut wouldn't take advantage of coda like premier does for that reason) i was thinking about buying the razor core v2 as it has what i want as i also wanted the ogpu to act as a tb3 dock as well so i can hook a monitor up as well as keyboard mouse speakers via a usb DAC and LAN however the razor core v2 is very expensive at almost £500 then with a vegetable 64 on top were talking like £1000! so i was a wondering if anyone knew of a good egpu enclosure that has usb (4 or 6 ports preferably) and LAN built in as well?

Gigabyte just announced an rx580 enclousure combo, but official price has been not announced yet. but if you really need the rx vega extra power, the razer core X its "just" 299$

My best idea would be a Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box. Apple straight up supports it and is about £100-£200 less (depending on whether you round down)

I would use the core x but it doesnt have usb hub or lan like the V2

Hi thanks for the suggestions i did look at those but im looking for something that has lan and usb passthough also
