Looking to buy a fairly decent gaming laptop since my old laptop is dying, and would like some recommendations, the budget is $2000, and i would like it to be able to run games like arma, insurgency, and pubg at at least 60 fps

You really want to look at specific things you want in a laptop.

Most laptops at $1000 upwards have most the full package but some have better aesthetics or battery life or ergonomics or special features like RGB, mechanical keybaord etc.

Just buy one of a reputable brand (not Razer xD) which is a fairly new model and it will be fine.

You may also want to consider buying a very CPU focused laptop for going out and an external graphics enclosure for gaming at home. Only if you only game at home.

What is an external graphics enclosure? and can you give me some reputable brand names?

An external graphics enclosure is a box which you connect a gpu to which connects to your lsptop to boost your graphics performance. I dont really recommend it though as internal dedicated graphics are better and more bang for your buck.

Reputable brand are asus, acer, msi, hp omen...

Go on their direct websites and see the newest models. In my experiance new low end models are better than old high end ones.

if you want the ultimate gaming laptop with further upgradablity to increase fps in gaming

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np9155-clevo-p750tm1-g.html

8700+gtx1070+16gb+1tb+250ssd

if you have hard/ssd from before, uncheck hard+ssd and go for 8700k for ultimate fps. its around 2000-2100USD.

the 8750h is about i5 8500 and 8850h is less than 8700. the top i9 8950hk is the same or less as 8700k but those laptop are above 3000usd

this beast (clevo p750tm) has versatile i/o ports with support up to 4storage(hard/ssd) and rather heavy but it's the best.(you can upgrade to gtx1080 mxm card too later if you want)

This is a good option, but please don't buy from XoticPC. Buy from any resellers that provide delid+LM CPU like HIDevolution, ObsidianPC
