Headset doesnt work with new PC?

You probably wouldn't sacrifice any audio quality. But if the headset work when they are plugged into the speakers they aren't broken.

 

Alternativly you could buy a 3,5mm extention cable and use that for your mic. 

Dude...you're a genius! I know what I'll do. Ill use the extension(since it came with the headset) for the audio jack, plug it into my speakers, and then use the mic jack without the extension(since im gona use front mic port). Now just to test if the mic works. But i dont feel like installing Skype :(
