Hello everyone, Hope you're doing great, because my friend isn't. His PC suddenly turned off by itself and then he found out that his GPU was smoking a little. He removed the fans and stuff to take a look, and there was it. A possible fried GPU.

Now, can anyone identify what was damaged? And can it be fixed?

Thank you.

Going by the discoloration on the R33 chip and the burnt spot on the bottom of the card, I would say your friend is basically screwed unless you can get a new GPU.

almost looks like that could be a phase doubler, but as Crunchy alluded to, that GPU is screwed and Dead.

There is no fixing this. Put it back together and send it back to the Manufacturer, hopefully he has a warranty.
