Dont worry about the Hysteresis or update period, The Hysteresis only matters that it will change if it seems a temp change greater than X, being what you put in there, so say 5 it wont actually ramp up unless its gone up 5c from what it was last time it went up. Here is how my fan curve looked like when my 1070 was on air before I went full water cooling.

Seems a bit warm to me for an AIB card. Might want to set a more aggressive fan curve

You can do it through MSI Afterburner.

Gpu tweak 2 or msi afterburner depends. I used tweak 2 to oc my asus strix 1080 ti

with MSI Afterburner, open your settings usually represented with a cog wheel. From there, go to Fan and this is where you will set a custom fan curve.

Open the Settings, click on the Fan tab at the top, and check the "Enable user defined software automatic fan control" box. Then under the graph, set the fan curve to "Custom" via the dropdown menu.

My fan curve looks like this:

That's a pretty aggressive curve, what cooler did you have?

Its the MSI 1070 gaming X. Temps never got above mid 60s. I have hearing loss so the noise didnt bother me as I usually have headphones on and an AC in the window going so really never heard it.

but as you can see, it really only maxxed out once it reached 75c, so in general it would stay between 50 and 55% speed.

Ah, I see.

I run a 780 reference, I only really notice the noise when it gets up to 80s or so. While gaming, it usually goes up to 70-75 but my game audio drowns out the fans xD
