Ah yes, the age old question:

Will it RAM?

Friend-o-mine has a Dell Precision T3600 that he wants to a get solid (and I'm helping with future-proof) system out of.

Stock RAM choices from Dell gives the following specifications:

Supported modules: 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB RDIMM ECC

Maximum memory: 64GB

and Dell offers 2 speeds stock:

Memory Type: 1333MHz or 1600MHz

I found some RAM on Craigslist:

G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8 GB (2x4) DDR3 2133 Mhz

Now 2133 MHz is pretty great. But I'm worried about compatibility. 2133MHz is fantastic and definitely more future-proof than 1333MHz which the Precision has right now.

so will it?

My profile picure is real. That's what I look like in real life. I'm actually a blue and white African Wild Dog.
