Question about HDMI/DP

Hi,

 

first of all, i didnt know where to post this, so if i'm in the wrong category im sorry.

 

But now to my question.

 

I am going to buy a htc vive next month and just thought about it using a hdmi cable.

 

As my Graphics Card (EVGA 980TI Superclocked 2.0) only has 1 hdmi, 1 dvi and 3 times displayport, i dont know how to connect my vive to my computer.

I have 2 Monitors, The first one is connected with hdmi, the second one with dvi. (none of them has dp)

 

So now i have some kind of a problem. I dont know how i am supposed to use the vive without a free hdmi port. And i dont think it's a good idea to plug in, plug out all the time.

 

And now to my actual question. Would it be a problem (perfomance) if i just bought an hdmi-displayport adapter and use it that way, or would that decrease performance of the vive, or anything else?
