Blu Ray player not playing certain Blu Rays??

Hi,

 

i recently bought a second hand LG BP255 and it is having trouble playing certain 20th Century Fox titles. One of the films i'm trying to watch at the begging it states for best experience please make sure the player is updated to the most recent firmware and i went and checked and it did need updating however it still doesn't play the film. There are no scratches or anything on the disc its in perfect condition. Basically it shows that message above  plays the 20th century fox intro and then just shows a black screen.
