2ND XP Build

Hi,

Just built this XP Machine. Was able to get Ethernet working. Need audio driver for the board on board audio. Works fine. Motherboard was designed for Windows 8. Don't know if I will find a driver for XP. 

 

Right now I am using a dongle off of USB for Audio. I have the on board audio disabled through device manager so it won't look for driver every time i start it up.

 

I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy RX 7.1 sound card on the way to take care of audio. That is what the opened PCIEx1 is opened on the bottom for.

 

The thing is in a HP Compaq D220MT case. It too about a night to get it going building and updating it including SP3 and IE8 plus other updates that take forever to do.

 

I just need a audio driver.

It's a HP Pro 3500 motherboard. Only audio drivers on HP's website are for Windows 7 and Windows 8.

I got my Creative Audigy 5/RX sound blaster sound card and with drivers from the Creative web sight that works as expected. Motherboard audio is disable in device manager to avoid conflicts.

Another little problem that I am having is that the Rear Noctua NF-A8 FLX is not getting detected by BIOS.  It does by Windows.

I should say that the fan is getting detected through Hardware Monitor. System does not run hot at all.

BIOS detects in BIOS set up at 750 RPM. Still does not start until pressing F1 to boot.
