I've recently built myself a work computer and I'm having an issue I've never seen before. Basically I'll be working and all of a sudden everything will become unresponsive. I can move the mouse around but can't click on anything or input any keyboard commands.

My Spotify music keeps playing just fine but the screen doesn't update in any way. The mouse only changes when I hover over the windows Cortana search area of the taskbar.

This has happened 2 or 3 times in the last couple of days. What should I do!?!

More information, PC specs, do you have lastest drivers, do you have anti virus or anti malware.

Thanks for the video, love his work. I had a look and it seems the power cable wasn't all the way in for the SSD. I fixed it up, hopefully that'll be the problem sorted. I'll come back here if there are more problems ?

you could try a windows reinstall and no additional software - see if the problem remains.

And about drivers - you can try driver pack solution (just google it). The program selects a lot of programs to be installed automatically but you can deselect it manually (at the beginning you have a smaller button -> Expert Mode. Just click it and select only the drivers)

Be aware that it could (maybe) break your system. It happened to me last year - it was a compatibility problem between windows 10 and a driver for camera (on a laptop)

I didn't had any problems with my desktop after using the program

Trying some Live Linux could give hints if its hardware problem or problem in Windows/drivers.

Unreliable power for SSD could have potentially caused some data corruption so re-installing Windows would be one thing to try.
