so i upgraded my I3 6100 to an i5 6500, and as soon as i boot the computer on i get a BSOD. the weird thing is that the isue persist when i use the i3 aswell.

here are the errors i'm getting:

- System thread exception not handled ACPI

- Page fault in nonpage area

- ACPI_BIOS_ERROR

i get theese mesages at random.

the weird thing is that i can enter the bios normally and both processors and ram are detected, also i've managed to update the BIOS to the latest version hoping it would solve the isue but it remained the same.

i've got out the battery to clear de CMOS, changed the memory slot, reseated all the MOBO cables.

Please help, i don't know what else to do, i don't even know if it is the MOBO only and what else might be wrong.

and if you need any more info please ask

P.S: since both CPUS and RAM are showing up, and the sistem is posting, i hope that they are still working please confirm this

Sata drivers more than likely or how you have the drive/s configured. I don't even use the sata3 on my board because of the type and shitty drivers for it. Renesane or whatever they are called.. X58 era.. I just use the Intel sata2 ports.

Jayz2cents posted about a recent windows update causing similar and he had to do a bios update to cure it, no such luck for me and my older hardware..
