Amd cpu with nvidia graphics card

I was looking to build a computer but with an AMD processor and a gtx 1080. Will there be any issues?

No there will be no problem if you get a decent enough cpu (amd ryzen 5 1600x +) with a amd chipset motherboard off course there will not be a single issue on your rig. But if you buy a cheap cpu which u will apparently not but cuz u r getting a 1080 ti it may bottle neck your gpu and you will not be able to utilise the power of the gpu that you have.
