Possibly, but that would defeat part of the point of cryptocurrency which is to have a decentralized monetary system, that is why many algorithms battle it out to stay ASIC resistant, like how Cryptonight forked to Cryptonight V7, and many Cryptonight reliant currencies switched to Cryptonight V7 due to the fact that Antminer made an ASIC for Cryptonight, because they want the people to control it, not large mining companies, so as far I can tell, mining groups will continue to make their algorithms ASIC resistant.

I hope so. I have eight rigs and they're barely breaking even.  I turn them off in the daytime to save energy and gpu health.
