2.1 Speakers

Go to solution Solved by GamerDude,

If at all possible, go demo it and see if you like the sound, and as long as you do....buy it if it's crazy cheap. What matters most is that you like, and it satisfies your requirements. How much is it anyway? For me, I'd rather get a pair of 2.0 from Edifier, or even a pair of Creative T20 if I were on a budget. If you're dead set on a set of 2.1's specifically for gaming and watching movies, look at Logitech and Edifier range of multimedia speakers.

I wanted a 2.1 because not every 2.0 has that "bass feeling" u know.I use them for games and music and i already bought them because of the price(38 us dollars from 76 us dollars).I would get a 2.0 like logitech z200 but a subwoofer is a must for me.

If that is under 80 USD, then yes. If that is anything over, $150 then heck no!!! If that is $100, then maybe.

For $150, you have two options. 1) Klipsch pro media 2.1. This is prolly the best "gaming" speakers. 2) Get a used audioengine a2+. It prolly goes for $150 used. Its a 2.0 system but much better sound stage and accurate sound reproduction. The bass is nice and punchy unlike the big blob of sound you get with gaming brands. Also, the speaker has an internal dac.

All in all, there are "fun gaming" sounds, and there are refined sounds. With Klipsch pro media, you get a nice blend of both worlds. You now know how music should sort of sound like and you get your big blobs of incoherent booms and whooshes. With choice 2, you might end up being an audio snob in the future lol and snub the logitech, razer and altec lansing plebs. Personally, I went with choice 2. I think I made a good choice. I listen to music much more often now.
