I have one laying around with an Asus X58 motherboard and 4gb of ram, it hasn't been used in over 6 years, due to the power supply not working. Is it worth anything? And will it work?

It might still work, depending on if the PSU took anything with it when it died.

 

As for how much its worth, I wouldn't buy a setup like that for more than maybe 70 USD.

4GB of RAM is really low for today's standards. 8GBs is pretty much the bare minimum. You'll use up all 4GBs quickly, especially if you use Chrome.

I am not planning on using it, especially with the a gpu that might be worst than integrated graphics in modern times.

Also, it's technically ATI. AMD didn't buy out ATI until the HD 5000 series IIRC.

Maybe you could get about 100-150 USD for the mobo if it works. That i7-960 isn't worth much because you can get a 6-core Xeon X5650 for about $25

Yeah, because X58 is still pretty good platform. Radeon HD 5670 isn't worth more than 10-25 USD.

It's still a decent board but not the best one though. I paid 98€ / $115 for my P6X58D-E (with broken PCI-E lock) in 2016 and I've seen similar boards still going for over 100€.
