More ram = better streaming?

Hey guys, I wanna get into the world of streaming, at least give it a go. I'm gonna stream and game on the same PC, these are my specs

8700k (NZXT X64)

1080ti

16gb 3000mhz ram

 

Would adding an extra 16gb or ram help at all, or would I just be wasting my money?

What is your ram usage while streaming and gaming? If it is under 16gb no improvement what so ever.

I've not actually tried streaming yet, but when gaming it sits around 8gb or so I think.

Only reason I'm asking is the ram is at a decent price so thinking it may be worth picking up, but if I see zero improvement, then it'd be a waste

16gb should be just fine for streaming.
