Hey, so I bought a prebuilt PC about a year ago and I have been using that as a gaming rig (I added in a GPU) but it only came with a single 8 gig stick of DDR4-2400 RAM. I want to expand the RAM. But, I was wondering if I were to buy another 8 gig stick from another brand, would it still work? I don't know how much it matters, but my motherboard only has two slots for RAM. So, if I were to put two of the same sticks from two different brands, would it still work? I don't want to make a mistake, so I wanted to ask some experienced builders like you guys for advice.

Thanks!

It would work. RAM doesn't care about brands.
