New volume that cannot be deleted

After the most recent Windows update another volume was created named F:.

It has a 450mb capacity and uses ~400mb of that even though there are no visible files on it.

When I go to my partition manager it shows as a healthy OEM partition with no delete option. It is on the same SSD as my C: volume. When some disk management software I found it shows up and I can delete it in the software but nothing else happens.

Does anyone know if/how I can delete this drive? I constantly get messages from windows telling me it's almost full and that's pretty annoying.

It's a bug with the latest 1803 version of Windows. You need this partition, as it contains tools for windows recovery and most of the boot utilities.

The partition has always been there, but for some reason the new update assigns the partition a letter. By removing the letter, it goes back to the way it was before the update.

You can remove the letter by following the instructions I made in this thread
