Memory in wrong slots?

Technically, yes, but it's minuscule, to the point where it really doesn't matter at all. 

 

I'd just advise checking in CPU-Z to see if the RAM is running in dual channel mode. 

They likely aren't in the correct slots for dual channel operation, or aren't in the preferred dual channel slots. 

 

Typically, you want the RAM modules in module - empty - module - empty, or empty - module - empty - module. Which one depends on the board, but it's almost always every other slot when using two sticks (or 4 on an 8 slot board). They're normally colour coded as well. 

 

EDIT: Like this, or both moved over one slot.

I guess that means I didn't use preferred slots, will this cause any lost performance?

Will do when I get home, probably just switch ram slots to be safe, thanks for the help
