ADD ON: Integrated graphics hell

Alright, so, I had a different post which with in 2 days was eaten by other posts and wasn't getting anymore responses but I had a follow up question, the last post like was this btw, 

so to sum it up, I have a pc with a good processor, 16gb of memory, and to top it all off I apparently have or am using intel integrated graphics, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to boost my experience in games more GPU dedicated. " Wait so then... what is this for??? and if that doesn't matter, is there something I can do??? like in the game settings change something so that it relies more heavily on the CPU instead of the GPU is this something that could be improved with overclocking?" please go to the prior post and check out the spec's and stuff, and i'm sorry for kind of reposting it had been 2 days since my response with no reply.

No, you can't use integrated graphics to supplement a dedicated graphics card.

you can't overclock the Intel stuff you have in there.

 

go to Device Manager inside the Control Panel. It should show graphics adapters. If it only lists Intel HD Graphics, then your laptop does not have any dedicated graphics and that sticker's there for no good reason. No way to increase gaming performance at all.

 

Even if it does end up having Nvidia dedicated graphics, not put high expectations. The best one of these ever carried is the 940MX, while miles ahead of the HD5500, is only barely enough for games like Fortnite.

so you do have nvidia graphics. Just download and install drivers from Nvidia's site.

You have a GeForce 930MX dedicated graphics card. To be honest, that’s not really a balls to the walls graphics card for something like Fortnite.

 

To use the card, you must have its most recent drivers installed on your laptop. Normally, they should already have been installed out of the box. If not, then you can download them from the official NVIDIA website:

lets just take a moment to acknowledge the "balls to walls" and no matter what the graphics are their better than what I'm using right now.....right?  So i went through the whole kitten kaboodle on the installer, is there something else I need to do to like select it, and in the future how often do I have to  update it. also thank you everyone who helped me figure this out and put up with my lack of intimate knowledge on the subject.

I just use Geforce Experience because I'm lazy

Use driver selected by Geforce Experience? It doesnt install new drivers on its own and will ask for permission (unless you configure the settings so that it does)

I mean like should I go into bios and choose to use the Geforce instead of the intel integrated graphics or did it do it auto when i downloaded the intel experience shit

laptop bios doesnt let you do that. Even if it does, better let it stay on auto for compatibility reasons.

start a game you played before. if frame rates increased, then it is the dedicated card doing its job.
