I have a Logitech G233 headset that has worked perfectly in the past, 2 nights ago i upgraded windows 10 to its newest version and mic doesn't work. I've tried just about everything and the only way windows recognizes my mic sound is if i select the option to listen to my self, than the green bar lights up, but when in discord my voice isn't heard nor in other programs. Also strange in fortnite (don't criticize me) whenever my mic splitter is plugged in voice chat goes off. Anyb help is appreciated

check drivers to see if they need to be upgraded, if so then upgrade them. Also it could have to do with motherboard software (what pops up when audio device is plugged in (check to make sure that is recognizes the device as a headset and microphone combo rather than just a head set. Just some suggestions that have helped me in the past, if you by any chance are using a gigabyte motherboard (as I was when this issue occurred) that it is probably the motherboard software.

I did the same thing, that being said, it should not be this way and that is why we have forms to try to fix such issues with (relative) ease without forking out the cash if it is not necessary.
