Changing cards, what about drivers

Im switching from my 1050ti a 1060 3gb(not much of an upgrade i know dont need insight on waiting my gpu is messing up) i was wondering if i need to uninstall the 1050 ti drivers first?

Yes you should remove old drivers first using DDU and then installing fresh.

Follow up question, should i download the drivers from the website first before installing the new card

I do personally when I use DDU to do a clean install. You will have display, it will just be in 800x600 until you get the drivers installed after you use DDU provided you have Miscrosoft disabled to automatically install their drivers for you.

You don't have too, it's using same driver, however if the driver isn't the latest you might do it anyway.
