Desktop Circuit Board Printer

This thing looks pretty awesome.

You can create your own double sided (2 layer only) PCBs using  pre made "blank" FR-4 sheets. It even does fairly small width traces (8 mils)

Eh, doublesided, or even single sided, this is cool, especially for somebody like me that wants to get into circuit board stuff.

that thing is so unbelievably over priced for what it is. I would just det any boards you need made by osh park, it is going to be cheaper per board 90% of the time, you can get 4 layer pcb's made, and they ship very fast. This thing should not exist, Conductive ink?!?! really? Kind of useless if you have to re-design your board to prototype on this machine. I could see $1000-$1500, but $4200 is just nuts.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

It's like the $3000 4k 144Hz monitor from Asus, it's overpriced because it's one of the first.

I just thought the concept was really cool tbh. Who knows, future models may be superior and more affordable!

But its not even close to the first, people have been making their own pcb's with copper plated fr4 that will have a proper sheet rho and dielectric constant on $300 3 axis machines for the better part of a decade. There is even diy solder mask available for this stuff.

this thing has no place in this world outside of prototyping companies maybe.

PCB´s are so ultra cheap to order that this thing is simply not worth it, if you need a pCB fast your just etch one yourself or solder a prototype manually.
