Socket 478 cooler

Long story short...I need to order a new cooler that will fit a socket 448 Pentium 4 cpu for a business I work for to get this PC back up for them. It's for a machine shop and they are trying to sell the machine it goes with so we don't really care beyond getting it up and running. The old retention mech just wore out from time I presume. oh and to give you how old this chip is. Its a PGA chip.. NOT LGA.

Buying a cpu cooler will probaly cost the same as buying a new 478 PC

actually, I think I can probably get away with just a new bracket...

your going to be at most selling that whole machine for 20 bucks.Pentiums 4 aren't desired by collectors as they were purely focused on clock speed and not that great in genral.

What I found and went with. Might as well replace it all 100%. Cooler itself is fine, just the mounting retention to the board was bad and broke.

The purpose of the machine is to run a robotic program on a machine. Again its not my thing. He just calls me when he needs something. The buyer wants the machine working so he can get the robotic portion of the assembly working. And he needs this machine up and working to run the program to control the robot.

You said you were selling the machine so I assumed that thats what our doing.

If all you need it a bracket then that should work

Yes should just need the bracket so that's what I ordered. 12$ for overnight shipping..can't complain.
