problem formating my pc

so i recently got a new pc. motherboard is z370p d3 and it has 3.0 usb ports

whenever i try to boot my pc it says i don't know why . i tried everything yet nothing works. can someone help me and tell me what the problem is

NVM. I fixed it by updating my bios version. used windows 10 though, I have yet to try windows 7

That isn't enough information to help you. 

 

What device are you booting windows from, and what device are you trying to install windows on? 

Also is your motherboard set to UEFI boot or Legacy (BIOS)?

usb I tried win10 and 7. it has both options atm its uefi

Only Windows 10 will work right on that CPU.

That's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about the updates not officially working.

Yeah but are you installing to a Standard 7200 rpm hard drive, or SSD, or other?  (it's very important to note what it is if it's "other" because that could be half the problem).  Is it attached via Sata, M.2, or PCIe?
