Hi, I have a Asus Rog B350-F gaming motherboard but I forgot my password for my bios so I’m trying to resting my cmos. The manual says to unplug the power and trun off the pc, then touch it with a metal object such as a screw driver to short it. Then plug in the power and turn on the PC. But I’m confused on do I keep the metal screw driver touching the two pin while it’s turning on? Or do I just touch it for a few second, and let go and then turn on. Please help. Exact step would be extreamly appreciated.

 Need it ASAP.

thank you so much

Just short the specified pins for 5-10 seconds. You do not need to boot the system while you do this (probably not good to do this in fact). You really probably don't even have to unplug the power cable, at least I didn't on the 50+ times I've had to do this over 3-4 different boards.

-Turn off system

-Short the 2 specified pins 5-10 seconds (while power off)

-reboot system
