I have an old dongle for a old software which is to be inserted into LPT1, which my motherboard DG41RQ was not equipped with. Hence, I grabbed the port of my old computer (see image) which comfortably fitted in my old computer, for new computer though it has a problem that the socket type on the motherboard is different (see attached image). The motherboard-end of the port lacks a pin head on the extreme end but the configuration of Parallel port on new motherboard lacks a pin head on second-last position. So is there anything (apart from anything which costs bucks) I can do? If images do not appear clear tell me I'll mail them to you.

PS- But all are parallel ports only so, why is the configuration in the new motherboard different? I couldn't find an answer even on Wikipedia.

Thanx.
