So I've been having this issue on and off for about 4 months this point sometimes my graphics card will flip right on and other times it won't. I have a gigabyte Xtreme gaming 980ti the rest of the lights on the card including the fans spin up but the graphics card does not initiate. I have tried different pcie slots switching the power cables and replacing the thermal paste cuz I thought at first it might have been electrical short because the thermal paste was seeking over into the sides beside the died but that didn't work either. Everything else in the computers working except the graphics card won't initiate I can't get a display out of it and I know it won't initiate because when the GPU actually turns on the red windforce lights on front of the car turn on. In the past it hasn't worked for a while but the more I just power cycle it and turn it on and off again eventually it'll turn on but I can't get it to turn on today

Well you didn’t list any specs so this will be vague.

Plug the monitor into the onboard graphics and turn on igpu while you’re on the bios. May have to take the card out first to get that turned on though.

Then you can see what’s going on once you’re in Windows.

Of if you’re board has an led or screen for post codes.
