Need help with pc

Hi my friend got a Asus Rog hero 10 Motherboard and a i7 7700k unlocked, will they work together, because right now the pc boots and then shut downs 1 second after 

 

any help would be good thank you :)

I am sorry to mention but that motherboard only works with the 8th generation of Intel CPU's

To be honest though, it is still a good thing! Sell that i7 7700k and buy a faster 8th gen cpu :D

Use of same sockets make them seem compatible, but they are not. It will only accept 8th gen CPUs.
