Like take cables, strip the wires, add terminals, sleeve etc.

From what it looks like, you don't need specific wires for different colors, if that's what you're asking. A wire is a wire. I hope i understood your question and helped!

Hello all,

I am planning on making custom psu cables/ sleeves for my build.

Now I am faced with a little problem: the cables from Psu’s usually have different colours (black red yellow etc), but I have watched videos where people just used one cable type. So does it matter which cable you use? I’ve had a look at a pin-out diagram, where it said e.g. black stands for ground or I think red stands for 5V. Are those cables different in colour only or are there other differences?

Thanks in advance for replies!

You say you are "planning on making custom psu cables...." What do you mean by making?
