Hi guys just wondering if anyone else can offer some insight or advice to help me fix a problem i am having with my Disc drive in my MSI GL62 Gaming laptop, The actual drive itself is not being picked up at all by the laptop and i originally thought it was due to upgrading to Windows 10 ( as i have known that it sometimes drops the drivers needed ) but i have been through almost every fix i can think of and still the drive will not register in the laptop. The drive itself still works as when putting in a disc it boots up and i can hear the disc spinning and the laser reading the disc just nothing pops up. I am hoping its not a faulty drive as i don't really want to buy a new drive as I have spent enough on the laptop as it is.

Thanks guy hope you can help :)

Sounds like a faulty connection. Try to open up the laptop and check if the connection is still tight; if you don't trust yourself to do that, bring it to MSI and explain the issue. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with software according to your explanation.
