Microphone acting strange

Everything started after the latest Windows update.My microphone was not recognized by the PC and after searching online for fixes, re-downloading latest audio drivers,installing etc still nothing changed.I  was ready to sent it to warranty to be fixed or replaced. Today I played some CS:GO (obviously i can't use it but was still plugged in), something happened.While wearing the headphones and with mic on I can hear if i tape on keyboard, clap, everything with less than a 1/2 second delay. It's a little weaker than normal but is something.It continuously recording but the signal is not going forward.I tried launching audacity, when recording the error appear saying "Error while opening sound device.Please check the recording device and project sample rate.I checked if it's plugged correctly etc.It is a lower end mic branded Somic Danyin DM-028.I don't know how to fix it, if it is a hardware or software issue.Any ideas?

Go into your Windows sound options from the little icon in your task tray. Recording devices, right click your microphone and select properties:

Is "Listen to this device" checked? If it is, turn it off.

That's strange, are you sure it's not muted in-game then?

The odd thing is that I can not use it, no games, can't record with audacity, random sites where i can check if it's working are giving me errors.I can't use it on other devices right now.
