just put together my EK A240 kit and theres a small leak in one of the fittings this is my first ever loop so I really don't know much about water-cooling.

you might be able to see the water in the image, its the darker shade of black on the bottom of the fitting any help would be much appreciated

if it leaks and you can not tighten the fitting down any further and confirm it no longer leaks, then you need to drain the loop and look at the fitting and barb and see if you can determine where the problem is.

right now the best course of action would be to drain the loop and take it apart so you can see if maybe the fitting is damaged.

alternatively you could try tightening the fitting some more if possible, tough if the leak is indeed between the rad and the fitting and not between the fitting and the tube then i dunno if tightening some more will help much.

possibly a leaky O-ring?

dont be afraid to give it a little go with some pliers and see if it turns down anymore. I do that to most of my fittings. I get them hand tight then give them a little extra nudge with some pliers to ensure they are good and snug.

keep in mind these are aluminium tough! very easy to damage compared to copper or nickel plated copper fittings.

Very true. Thats why i said little, meaning to basically make sure they are tight.

could possibly be the o-ring, I installed every fitting the same and tightened then all by hand and all the others are bone dry, ive just taken the tube off and it seems to be the tube was loose, the others are on tight but this one I can just pull off with not that much effort. hopefully it just that.

Should never have to be more than hand tight with any fitting. Either something is damaged, defected or isn’t seated correctly.

i just removed the fitting and swapped ti with the one on the other side of the rad and it stopped leaking, guess it wasn't seated properly
