Hello, i work in the audio visual field and wanted to know a list of conferences/ events that occur, for the av field similar to CES or defcon .

AVIXA is the go to for AV stuff. Below is their website aswell as the link to InfoComm hosted by AVIXA, which will be in Vegas this year in June.

 

If you are new to the industry I recommend going for your CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) through AVIXA, It is a well recognized Cert that will take you a long way in the field.

There is also another conference (forget the name) for Digital Media Advertisements.

That's like... Movie making E3.  Surely yo know about NAB?

National Association of Broadcasters holds a show every year.  It's everything.  New cameras, lenses, software, tools, rigs, lighting and everything are announced there.   Like... It's literally E3 but for movie making tools.

 No anyone can buy a ticket , The CTS is benificial certification to have if you are in the industry.
