Hey there guys,

For the past few weeks i have been getting a kernel power 41 error, i have replaced the PSU with a 750w unit which is way over the system load and done a memory check to ensure there is no issues with the memory (which there was not) and to continue i have updated the GPU drivers as well. The computer randomly black screens and restarts without any warning and i am unable to solve the issue. If anyone is able to suggest anything i would greatly appreciate it, below i will list the useless window logs. :) If anyone is able to provide any help i would be over the moon, thanks in advance! If im unable to solve this issue i think i may have to resort to a full reset ot possibly a new build :(

Unfortunately the Kernel Power 41 error can mean a variety of different things. What are you doing when it crashes, and is it Kernel Power 41 63?

Also do you happen to have a BSOD code?

Kernel power doesn't necessarily mean it's a power issue, it means something made the kernel lose power before it was able to log anything.

Essentially your PC hard froze and when that happens the kernel obviously freezes too so it's unable to determine what exactly caused the problem and just fires a kernel power error as kind of a generic error.

As for troubleshooting, good luck. It could be any number of things both hardware or software causing your computer to freeze. Software is easy to eliminate, grab a copy of Linux and do a Live Boot, leave  Linux running for a few hours and see if that crashes or not. If no then it's probably software, if yes  it's probably hardware.

I could be doing anything from browsing Youtube to playing eve online, i once got a blue screen. It had the following Text:

Your PC ran into some problems ...

100% complete

If you call a support person give them the following information:

Stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

What Failed: nvlddmkm.sys

(forgot i had this)

That's helpful, it's your GPU driver. Try rolling back to an earlier version.

Might also be your GPU is dying though.

Did you update your GPU driver recently?

Looks to be a GPU related problem.

Just do a driver reinstall instead

Just now, Riot_Azizora said:

would it be worth me doing this because this only happened once out of the like 100 restarts? could this cause the Whole PC to restart?

It's worth a shot.

I got geforce experience, would that fix it?

Geforce Experience isn't exactly a driver.

Download this: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/133648/en-us and then when the window pops up, hit the clean reinstall button.

That should be the driver for your card, the GTX 970.
