So I mainly use a gtx 1060 6GB but my motherboard has an extra PCI-e slot and I had a HD 7950 laying around so I thought to just plug it in and use it for things like GPU encoding in OBS or just mining in the background or something idk, So I did and the card is just recognized as a generic display adapter in windows. I looked in GPU-z and same thing. I have an 850w PSU so I know I have enough power. Also after a random amount of time I would get a blue screen of death consistently when I had the card plugged in.

You still need to install drivers for the HD 7950.

It blue screened before I got to that point.

Edit: so I just tried to download the drivers and it said it can't download them cause there's no AMD graphics card detected
