Nas / PC distance to subwoofer

pomkon

say for 2bay/ 4 bay nas, and a 70w subwoofer - how much distance separation should there be?

Wait, are you asking how much distance there should be between your subwoofer and your NAS? I mean, you probably shouldn't put your NAS right on top of your subwoofer, but I would think a few feet would be fine. I mean, I assume you're worried about the subs vibrating your HDD's too much?

like a formula, for every 10w subwoofer roughly 10cm?

I don't think there is such a thing as a Subwoofer / NAS ratio. Just don't put them right next to each other and you'll be fine.

Also, sound energy drops of as a square of the distance, so it's a larger drop in "sound power" from 1ft to 2ft than 0ft to 1ft. 70w isn't that much power, so I'm sure even at a short distance like 3ft, there is not enough energy to cause any issue with your HDD's in your NAS. I'm sure they are probably shock mounted anyway, which further reduces the chance that you'll have any issue.

I don't think there is a formula for this.

As @Theguywhobea said, keep your NAS a few feet away from your subwoofer. Keeping your NAS five feet away from your subwoofer should be fine.

Shouldn't be an issue.  If you're worried, get a nice rubber pad for the NAS and 1m spacing or greater should be fine, as stated previously.
