So i have a Asus GTX 970 mini, i have had it for over 3 years. About a year ago it started acting weird, the fan would spin inconsistenly and the card would overheat, so i send it back for repair and after i got it back it worked fine. About 2 months ago, when the warrenty was already over, it started to do the same stuff again, spinning fast under no load or just stopping to spin under load. After some mailing contact with asus they told me that they had replaced the part on the GPU that delivers power to the fan. So i hoped that i could solve this problem by connecting to my GPU fan to my motherboard, so i did but it is showing the same problems, the fan just doesnt spin as fast as it should and then the GPU overheats and crashes, i used speedfan to control the fan. I added three images of what happens with the fan speed, the red ones are from when the fan was connected to the GPU, the green one is from when it is connected to the motherboard(fan at 100%). I really dont know what to do anymore and i wanted to wait with buying a new GPU till the prices dropped some.

Specs:

GPU: Asus GTX970-DCMOC-4GD5

Motherboard: Asrock B85M-ITX

Processor: Intel Core i5-4440

Psu: SilverStone SFX ST45SF-G 450W

I would really appreciate some help here if somebody has any idea what this could be or how to solve this.

You have two options:

1. Search for a replacement cooler

2. Buy an universal cooler like Arctic Accellero
