Hello everyone I am new here.

I don't have much experience with troubleshooting, so I'd like your help figuring a couple things out.

I have a custom build gaming PC, and the last couple of months I've noticed a coupe of issues. Windows 10 OS.

Issue the 1st - World of Warcraft won't uninstall correctly/My C drive has no room left for no reason.

  • My C drive is telling me that I only have 2.94 GB out of 111 GB left of space.
  • I don't install anything on my C drive, I strictly use my D drive to install games and software, leaving my C drive for my operating system.
  • World of Warcraft also won't uninstall properly, I include it because I am unsure if it installed to C drive by accident.
  • After uninstalling WoW, the program remains listed under Programs and Features, with a size of 78.8 GB, and no thumbnail/icon.
  • When I try to uninstall it again, I get this message: "Please click the link below for more information or contact customer support if the problem persists. More help: BLZNT BNU00000006"
  • When clicking the help link i am told to follow these steps:

((

This error may happen when something interferes with the uninstall process. To troubleshoot it, follow the steps below.

  1. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
  2. Run Software Update to check for pending updates to software, drivers, and firmware.
  3. Try closing background applications to resolve any software conflicts.
  4. Restart your computer to resolve problems caused by programs and services running in the background.

))

  • However I can't get past the first step, because when following the steps to delete the Battle.net tools folder, I get this message: "You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from (computer)/Owner to make changes to this folder" When I AM THE OWNER, and only have one user account on my PC.

Issue the 2nd - I have no idea WTF

  • I believe this issue might be related to the first, as it started happening around the same time I noticed the first issue, but I honestly have no idea.
  • I have YouTube playing from my computer while I sleep (Achievement Hunter Off Topic Podcast), to help deal with night terrors and sleep paralyses.
  • Not every night, but about every other night, one of the videos will just start buffering indefinitely.
  • This for some reason always wakes me, and when I try to close the browser or do anything really, I am not able to anything.
  • I can't even open the start menu, or even CRTL-ALT-DELETE my way out. However I am still able to use my mouse and highlight the icons in my toolbar, despite not being able to open them.
  • The only way I could recover from the issue was to reset my computer by holding down my power button.
  • Believing this was an issue with my browser (Mozilla Firefox) causing a memory leak, I switch to a new browser (Google Chrome).
  • Switching browsers did not fix the issue, however I can now use my start menu and CRTL-ALT-DELETE... with a lot of lag.
  • I did CRTL-ALT-DELETE to try and end task Google Chrome. However ending task either wasn't working or was taking an extremely long time to work.
  • Shutting down via the start menu also didn't work, as even though everything "closed",logged out, and monitors went dark, my computer remained on.
  • Ultimately, I was only able to get out of the issue again by pressing and holding the power button.
  • I don't know if this issue is related to the first, but I am hoping that fixing the first issue will also solve this issue.

Thank you for any help you can give me. If you need me to provide more info please let me know.

Have you tried to restore the machine through windows restore?

when was the last time you did a clean install?

what are your system specs?

can you just do a clean windows install?

If not can you use 'reset this PC' to keep your personal files but get rid of programs?

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

Please put as much effort into your question as you expect me to put into answering it.
