DisplayPort Black Screen

Hi,

When I try to use mini Displayport with my Asus G46V notebook and my BenQ BL2410 I end up seeing a black screen, and nothing else.

If I unplug the displayport cable my monitor then informs me I have no signal. If I reboot the computer with display port plugged in I get weird errors and a massive performance decrease

My nVidia drivers and motherboard BIOS are both up to date.

Specs.

ASUS G46V

Intel Core i7 3630QM

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

NVIDIA GTX 660M

Intel HD Graphics 4000 (optimis-Not connected to the mini diplayport)

Graphics card Drivers 9.18.13.3182

Graphics card BIOS 80.07.57.00.09

Monitor

BenQ BL2410

If anyone has any tips that would be great, i'm out of ideas.

Thanks.

Have you set the screen to extend/duplicate the screen? Also the resolution of the monitor is higher than the screen on the laptop so you lose performance.

Check to see if it is a problem with the monitor. And like the Nsyedhasan said, make sure you go into your control panel and select extend display.
