This question covers CPUs, motherboards, and GPUs so I wasn't sure where to plant it.

Well here's the rub:

I am looking to spend approximately $500-$850 on upgrades. I don't know what will give me the best "bang" for my buck.

My current options are getting an 8700k and MSI Carbon Gaming Pro Z370.

-or-

Getting a high end card like an EVGA GTX 1080 SC2 hybrid (or something comparable).

I do gaming as well as video editing and honestly am not confident in my current level of knowledge of tech to make a confident $800 decision.

Please advise.

Ok, i would wait to buy a GPU.

I think with an 8700k and a Z370 Motherboard there is not much to do wrong.

If you buy a GPU today u would regret it in the future because they will be cheaper in the future.

There are some bundles out there were u can buy a CPU, GPU and motherboard together.

if u are willing to spent a bit more u can make a great deal with it.

sorry for poor english
