PC not posting

Go to solution Solved by VVoltor,

Maybe some cable isn't properly connected, remove them all and reinsert.

Same goes for other parts, try reseating the RAM, CPU, GPU, etc.

If that's not it, I'd say it's either the PSU or your mobo. Since you didn't touch the PSU most likely the latter.

Also, you can try removing parts one by one and try turning on your PC, maybe that way you can find the culprit. If you're not able to diagnose with another PC or spare parts, you'll probably have to take it to a computer repair shop or something.

So I was getting temps pretty high, so I thought just a TIM replacement would get a difference of maybe a couple degrees

so I removed my wraith spire on my R5 1600 and applied the paste

I reassembled everything

and the PC just doesn't seem to post

I get nothing when I press the power button on the case or if I manually connect the two pins to jumpstart the system

there's no fans spinning and

no display output

I have a Gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 board, which has 4 light indicators for post failures

lights 1-4 are

cpu-ram-vga-bios

but none of them light up

my board also tends to keep the USBs powered after shutdown/before boot and I'm getting power through usb

but no post

THANKS A LOT MATE

while removing the stock cooler, the CPU ripped out of the socket and I kinda bent some pins

but I straightened them (ncix Linus to the rescue)

and I honestly thought I destroyed my CPUbut reseating the RAM helped me

thanks a lot mate

this system took me months to save up for as I'm not exactly an adult and jobs for 15 year olds are just barely above the wage limit

again, thanks a lot for your help!
