My gpu propobably died

The laat about 2 weeks I've been seeing some screen tearing of the bottom half about every 3 hours. For some reason I thought it was the cable. Today my pc is sitting idle on Fortnite for about an hour then I hit play and during the loading screen windows made a sound and no signal. I thought it was my power cables inside (One day I was cleaning my pc because it's pretty old and I saw a wire in an adapter was unplugged so I soughtered it). Chceked some stuff and I'm pretty sure it died but I want to be certain before buying one with the prices lately. Anything I could do or is it just gone?

 

Oh the specs: ASUS gtx 550ti, i7-2600, 2x4gb ram, 550W psu, Windows 7 64bit. Yeah it's old

Try testing the GPU in another PC, such as friend's rig. That should tell you if it's dead or not.
