How do I use QED Ruby anniversary evolution?

Hello guys,

So I have cut a small amount of the speaker cable to test.

What I can see is a white piece of plastic in the middle which I assume isolates the wires so they don't touch.

Also I see a small grey piece of wire which is in between the wires on the outer edge. As shown below. 

I have cut to see inside the grey plastic to see if any wire is actually inside, what I see is what I assume to be clear plastic, not wire. 

After I have cut the clear hard plastic on the outside of the wire do I place that into the speaker as a whole? Or do I also cut the grey pieces of plastic?

That is bi-wirable cable for a start. So if your speakers aren't bi-wired then you can cut off two of the wires. That should make things simpler.

After that I should just be able to plug it into the speaker and AV Receiver and it should work?
