To start, my internet is good. I've been streaming for a year with no problems. Recently I decided to stream WoW and the stream looked extremely pixelated. I've been changing OBS settings around for a few days and can't seem to find a fix. I was thinking about getting a new CPU, the one I have is an i7 6700k. My graphics card is a GTX 1070. Not sure what to do and if I get a new CPU, what would you recommend?

Pixelation will happen during times of high movement due to the compression on Twitch's end. Assuming your using twitch as your streaming service.

pixellation happens due to using a too low bitrate on the stream with too high settings

example, u cant run 1080p 60fps with 1k bitrate without it going insane pixellated and loss of image quality in movement

using the nvidia encoder also is more pixellated then the h264 encoder

also simply using the wrong settings can screw ur stream into a rly poor quality

for twitch/obs ur profile , level , bitrate , keyframe interval , rate control , profile  should be set right

https://stream.twitch.tv/encoding/

example of settings

also remember for a 5k bitrate for example u need also 5mb/s upload speed ( actual speed not mbit ) because it will render an average of around 5000kb/s

Yeah, I have the same problem, my stream is so pixelated when playing fortnite, both webcam and game. But I stream on YouTube. My settings are 720p, 30 fps, 3500 bitrate, nvenc. And my pc specs are i5 7400, gtx 1060 3gb, 8gb ram, any way to fix this? Is it maybe because of my 15mbit upload speed?
